CV Clinic Workshop
Want your CV to stand out to employers? Join our CV Clinic to polish your CV in a small group and get hands-on feedback! In just one hour, you’ll:
✅ Learn the essentials of a strong, professional CV
✅ Exchange feedback with peers using a proven checklist
✅ Receive direct tips from a career coach to make your CV shine
Bring your CV (printed or digital) as well as an open position you are interested in and leave with clear improvements.
Get ready for your internship: Cultural Preparation and Application Strategies for the German Job Market (2 ECTS)
This seminar consists of 4 key modules plus a JobLunch:
1. Intercultural Preparation for the German Job Market: Develop an understanding of the cultural expectations of your potential German employer. Learn to anticipate cultural conflict situations in the applications process and practise a culture specific approach to deal with them.

2. Profile Development and Career Planning: Learn how to draw a comprehensive picture of your personal development, including all characteristics crucial for a successful application.

Unlocking Opportunities: Navigating Career Fairs with Confidence
Career fairs are an excellent way to explore future opportunities, learn about potential employers, and find suitable job prospects. On May 19th/20th, the big Career Fair takes place at the KIT in Karlsruhe. However, to maximize the benefits of attending a career fair, proper preparation is essential.
In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to:
- Define your goals for the fair
- Approach companies with confidence and purpose
- Craft and deliver a compelling personal pitch

Session: Keeping Up your Well-Being in stressful Situations
Feeling overwhelmed looking at exams? Feeling lost in the system? Feeling lonely and low on energy in Karlsruhe? Engage with other international students, exchange experiences and learn from your peers’ good practices.
The sessions will be guided by a professional coach who will also give helpful input on various self-care practices.
JobLunch for Electrical Engineering
Listen to experienced electrical engineers as they discuss their daily work, the challenges they face, and what to expect in the future of engineering. They will share valuable insights from their careers, including their experiences with job applications, navigating career paths, and working on innovative projects. This session will provide you with a deeper understanding of the profession and offer practical advice for aspiring engineers.
During the session, we’ll be providing lunch to ensure that no one has to attend the afternoon activities on an empty stomach!

Komm mit zur KIT Karrieremesse!
Praktikum, Werkstudentenstelle, Traineeprogramm oder Direkteinstieg – Karrieremessen bringen dich mit potenziellen Arbeitgebern und spannenden Karrieremöglichkeiten zusammen. Auf der KIT Messe könnt ihr 170 Unternehmen an zwei Tagen kennenlernen.
Der Career Service lädt ein, die Messe als Gruppe zu besuchen. Wir treffen uns um 12 Uhr vor dem Career Service Zelt auf der Messe. Dort gibt es ein kurzes Briefing und wir üben zusammen eine kurze Selbstpräsentation vor dem Messestand, bevor ihr die Messe erkundet. Die Karriereberaterin der HKA wird vor Ort sein und kann Euch bei Fragen zur Seite stehen.
Job Interview Training (in English)
Get ready to succeed in your next interview!
In this interactive workshop, you will receive practical guidance on how to prepare effectively for job interviews. You will learn about typical interview structures and settings, and develop a compelling self-presentation that highlights your strengths with confidence. Together, we will explore how to answer common interview questions in a clear and structured way, and how to present your previous experiences in the best possible light.
You will also learn how to use AI tools effectively as support for your interview preparation. A strong focus is placed on practice: you will have the opportunity to work on answers to challenging questions and receive direct, individual feedback.
This workshop is led by experienced Career Coach & Trainer Sarah Grötzinger

Graduating soon and unsure about your residence status? Join the Welcome Center TRK and get clear guidance on what to do after finishing your studies in Germany.
In this session, we will explain:

✔️ Important deadlines you must not miss
✔️ Practical next steps to stay and work in Germany
