You are studying at one of the universities participating in KOOR - Erasmus Services BW and are interested in funding for an internship abroad? Then you have come to exactly the right place. The Erasmus+ traineeship Programme is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students who would like to complete an internship abroad, either in Europe or outside Europe.
Please note:
Neither scholarships nor Erasmus+ funding are guaranteed. Erasmus+ funding can only be awarded subject to the availability of funds; there is no legal entitlement to Erasmus+ funding in general or to funding in a specific project year. Nevertheless, we encourage you to apply. Please also plan for alternative sources of funding and, where possible, structure your financing around several different sources.
KOOR does not arrange internships. You must therefore have at least an informal confirmation of an internship placement before registering for Erasmus+ funding.

Important to Know: What Erasmus+ Funding Does Not Cover
Erasmus+ funding is a contribution towards the costs of your internship abroad – not full financial coverage. To plan your finances realistically, please keep the following in mind:
- The funding does not automatically cover all costs. Travel, accommodation and living expenses can be significantly higher than the Erasmus+ grant, depending on your destination. Make sure to plan for sufficient personal funds.
- Funding is not guaranteed. Erasmus+ funding can only be awarded subject to the availability of funds. There is no legal entitlement to funding or to a specific grant amount.
- The grant does not replace an internship salary. If your internship is unpaid or offers only limited remuneration, you may need additional sources of funding.
- Not every internship duration or period can necessarily be funded in full. The eligible funding period may differ from the actual duration of your internship. Please check the current funding conditions before your internship begins.
- Erasmus+ funding comes with formal requirements. Certain agreements, supporting documents and deadlines must be complied with.
- Changes during your internship need to be reported and approved. Ending your internship early or deviating from the agreed period may affect your funding. Under certain circumstances, part of the grant already paid may have to be repaid.
- Other sources of funding cannot always be combined without restrictions. Therefore, check early whether and how Erasmus+ funding can be combined with BAföG, PROMOS or other scholarships.
Our recommendation: Where possible, structure your financing around several different sources. In addition to Erasmus+, these may include internship remuneration, international BAföG, other scholarships, public funding or personal savings.
