Sensor Technology

Profile Content

Experience natural sciences and measurement technology

The essential content of the Sensor Technology specialization of your Electrical Engineering & Information Technology program can be summed up in two words: Natural sciences and measurement technology - are you passionate about it? You will learn about innovative topics such as optoelectronics, chemo- or biosensors or digital signals and of course physical sensors, chemistry and electrochemistry. What is the point of all this?

You love variety

The field of sensor technology fundamentally touches all areas of electrical engineering and information technology. Wherever measurement technology plays a role, sensors are at the root - so this specialization provides you with insight into a wide range of areas of interest.

You value applied theory

Do you like to immediately apply the scientific knowledge you have acquired? And would you like to explore creative application areas in a playful way? In this specialization, you can give free rein to your thirst for discovery. Net and double bottom included: We value small groups, so our lecturers are always at your side.

This is how your study of Sensor Technology proceeds

All students in the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology program complete a common foundation course during the first two semesters. Sensor Technology is one of six specializations that can be selected for the advanced studies starting in the third semester. In the following you will find information on how the individual semesters are structured and about the content of the modules.
