International Summer School on Sustainability
September 6 to 11, 2026 in Karlsruhe
Do you fancy a vacation program with a difference? At the International Summer School on Sustainability, students from different countries and different fields of study discuss solutions for a more sustainable world. A collaboration between the three universities OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule, HKA University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe and Transilvania University of Braşov in Romania.
6th International Summer School on Sustainability,
HKA Karlsruhe, OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, and Transilvania University of Brașov in Romania will invite students from different disciplines and countries to exchange ideas and learn from one another. The host institution in 2026 will be Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA).
Topics and highlights from the program:
- Sustainability (promotion and implementation)
- Environmental engineering & renewable energies: solar, water, wind
- Energy storage
- Sustainable cooling and heat pump technologies
- Clean water EU project SophiA
- Workshops
- Joint excursions, leisure activities, and social events
- Visits to the HKA campus and laboratories
Costs:
€200 for external students who require accommodation
€100 for HKA students who do not require accommodation
